AuThursday – Sara Mosier

Book ProfilePlease welcome, Sara Mosier to the Clog Blog! Sara, can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?
I’m born and raised in Nebraska. I went to school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and got my bachelors in English. I’ve been writing since I was 15 and actually finished a novel at the time (it needed a TON of revising obviously) and since college, I’ve become a full-time poet. When I’m not writing poetry I’m an avid lover of queer fiction. I’ve got several short stories in anthologies and working on my first novel to come out in the Fall! I love animals, Autumn, happy-ending/angsty books, and I was born on Halloween so that all ties in together doesn’t it? lol.
How do you make time to write?
I literally MAKE time to write. I take at least an hour out of every day no matter what.
Do you believe in writer’s block?
Absolutely, but I think a block is usually from stress, stagnation, grieving, etc. There are so many factors besides ‘I can’t think of anything.
Tell us a bit about the genre you write and why you love it.
I absolutely LOVE writing LGBTQ-themed fiction, namely romance. It’s just my passion and has been for quite a few years now. Also, being a queer person it gives me an outlet.
How are you publishing your recent book and why?
I’m publishing via Kindle Self-Publish.
Are you an Introvert or an Extrovert?  How does this affect your work?
I’m a good fake extrovert haha so with that said I’m definitely an introvert. I don’t think it really affects my work at all.
What is your favorite motivational phrase?
You can’t edit a blank page. It used to be ‘write drunk, edit sober’ but I’m a sober person now and that’s a no, no, lol.
What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Never think ‘this has already been done, no, anything you’ve written is brand new and from YOUR perspective. No one can tell a story like YOU can.
Where can readers find you on the World Wide Web?
Here is my link to everything, Me:
Do you have an excerpt you’d like to share with us?
This is from Lithium my paranormal romance novel I’m going to release hopefully this September:
295960787_1229651237808511_1556304310785256716_nAs he turned to the door a dark mass blocked his path and he was knocked backward, how he held onto the cat he wasn’t sure, but Byron was screeching loudly and writhing in his grasp. He fell back on his ass with a grunt. The room filled with a loud, guttural moan, a growl that ate up every sound present. The air vibrated with it. His ears felt clogged with so much sound he collapsed.
Sara also has a Kindle Vella story available now – Spectral Ties.
