I met my little pixie in a coffee house and we hit it off right away. That is until she saw me shoot someone. But in my defense, they were coming to rob the coffee shop. Who does that? Now, I’ll do anything to get her back and make her realize that she’s mine. Kidnapping? I’m not too good for that. Getting shot? Play up the sympathy card. Marry her? You’re damn straight I will. Lay down my life for her? In a heartbeat. I would do anything for this woman and I will make her mine.

Reese

It was one non-date. We had coffee together. After we bumped into each other. It was more of a meet-cute than anything. It was fun until I realized how very naive I was. I mean, the man said that he had a gun on him and I laughed it off like an idiot. Who actually carries around a gun with them. Apparently, everyone from Reed Security. But I didn’t see that, and now I have a stalker. Not just any stalker though. This man takes everything to the extreme. But I can survive him. I will survive him. And when all is said and done, I’ll go back to my life and the boring men I date. Right?

Author Bio:

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on a blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

WolfeBook (1)Excerpt:

“Reese!”

I ran to catch up to her outside the school she taught at. I had Becky run a background check on her so I could find out where she lived and worked. I figured it would be a little creepy to show up at her house, but work was good. There were other people around and she would feel safe.

I took in every inch of her as she turned toward me. She was short, maybe 5’ 3”, but she was so damn beautiful. She was curvy and had blonde hair in one of those pixie haircuts. It looked damn good on her too.

She turned and her eyes widened. She looked around quickly, so I followed her gaze, thinking she saw something suspicious. “What’s wrong? Is someone after you?”

“No,” she said incredulously. “Why would you assume that?”

“Because you were looking around like there was danger or something.”

“Yeah, you’re the danger! Why are you here?”

“Because I wanted to talk to you. I feel like we got off on the wrong foot in the coffee shop and you’ve been ignoring my calls-”

“Because I didn’t give you my number.”

“Well, I didn’t get it on our date-”

“We never had a date. Look, it was nice to meet you, but there’s nothing going on between us. We aren’t dating.”

I scratched the back of my neck, not sure why she was denying what I saw clear as day. “Okay, I can see how you would think that there’s nothing between us. I mean, high-intensity situations cause stress on new relationships.”

“We’re not in a relationship.”

“But we could be,” I grinned. “See, I think you’re not really giving me a chance here. We had a connection back in that coffee shop.”

“What we had was some banter before I found out that you murder people for a living!”

I shook my head slightly. “See, that’s not entirely accurate. First, I told you that I worked in security, and I even told you that sometimes I took out the bad guys. I never lied about that. And second, I never ever murder anyone. I strategically take out people that should otherwise be dead or imprisoned because they’re really bad people.”

She stared at me dumbfounded and I grinned, thinking I had gotten through to her. “I don’t believe it.”

“You’re starting to come around, am I right?”

“Are you really this…obtuse?”

“Okay, I resent that. I’m not stupid. I’ll admit, there are some times that I can be a little…oblivious and it’s gotten me into trouble, but I know exactly what happened in that coffee shop and you do too. You can’t deny that we had something.”

“Yes, I can. We didn’t have anything in the coffee shop. See? I just denied it.”

“I object your denial,” I said firmly.

“What? You can’t just…ugh!”

“You’re so cute when you get flustered. I could just pick you up and carry you around in my pocket all the time.”

She glared at me and stomped past me to her car.

“So, should I pick you up tonight?”

“No!” She spun around, putting her hands on her hips as she stared me down. “I don’t want to go out tonight. In fact, I don’t want to see you ever again!”

She got into her car and slammed the door. I went over and knocked on her window. “Seven?”

She threw her car in reverse and squealed out of the parking lot. “Hey, this is a twenty mile an hour zone!” I shouted.

Millie Turner is a master at compartmentalizing. She’s put her past in a box and she doesn’t talk, or even think about it. She’s managed to avoid her cheating, lying, manipulative ex-boyfriend for months. Unfortunately, avoidance is no longer an option. Her brother is getting married and his Best Man is none other than the ex that nearly destroyed her.

She doesn’t trust herself to spend an entire weekend in his presence. Not on her own. She needs a date, a distraction, a buffer, someone to keep him away from her… but she never expected her savior to come in the form of a saint.

Hunter St. James has been fascinated by the mysterious Millie since the moment they met. Despite his efforts to get her to open up, she’s kept their relationship strictly professional though. When their boss asks him to act as Millie’s date for a big family event, it seems like the perfect chance to get to know the girl that’s been keeping him at arms-length.

He thought a weekend of playing lovers would be all fun and games but he soon finds out Millie’s more than just mysterious. She has secrets and her picture-perfect façade is just as fake as their relationship is supposed to be. Only the more he learns, the more he wants to know and the less their relationship feels like a lie.

Can Hunter convince Millie to trust him with the truth? And if Millie comes clean about her past, will Hunter still want a future with her? Neither of them is perfect but maybe that’s exactly what makes them perfect for each other.

Pre-Order Austin Nights in Savannah

Title:  Austin Nights in Savannah

Series:  Caulfield Cowboys Book Three

Author:  Tina Holland

Genre: Contemporary Cowboy Romance

Release Date:  June 20, 2019

Blurb:

Forensic accountant Savannah Andrews has a reputation for getting the job done. No matter what. Now she’s on her toughest assignment. Recruited by the FBI to take down the DeLugge crime family, Savannah is in the wrong place at the right time.

Federal Marshal Austin Caulfield’s timing has always been excellent. He’s surprised when he comes to Vegas to retrieve a witness at a sex club to find his childhood sweetheart on an auction block. Austin has no choice but to save her.

As Savannah and Austin get closer, limits are tested and secrets revealed. Nothing in Vegas is what it seems, least of all the club Flesh. Will Savannah find out the secrets behind the notorious club? Will Austin get his witness to the stand, or will Austin’s nights in Savannah distract them both?

Austin-Nights-Mockup2Excerpt:

Savannah turned in shock after what the biker had said. Austin. Here. Again. It was too much of a coincidence for her. He was here on business. The likelihood they were here on two separate incidences was not impossible but very unlikely.

“We have to talk,” she leaned over the bar, whispering in Austin’s ear.

“About?” he drawled.

“Why you’re here.”

“Well darling, as much as it damages your ego, it’s not always about you.” His voice rose, causing patrons to take an interest in what should be a private conversation.

“Why can’t it?” She reached out, grabbing the collar of his shirt. She needed to stay in character, at least that’s what she told herself as she leaned in for a kiss.

What a kiss!

Austin’s lips were firm but soft.

A sexy Vegas bartender would be aggressive was the mantra in her brain. She pressed her tongue against his closed mouth for entrance.

He gave in.

Savannah and Austin’s tongues danced around one another, each trying to control the kiss, before he pulled back, loosening her hold.

“If you’re going to be that way, I can be all about you. What time do you get off?” he asked.

“Whenever you let me,” she winked.

“And what time will you let me?”

“I’m done at two. Is that soon enough, cowboy?”

“I guess it’ll be soon enough.”

“Savannah,” Zach interrupted her banter with Austin.

“Yeah?”

“Guy over there is asking ‘bout you.” Zach nodded toward the end of the bar.

“Later cowboy, don’t forget about me.”

“Hard not to, and I mean literally.” Austin’s voice followed her down the length of the bar.

Savannah smiled. She’d enjoyed her role-playing with Austin far too much. It set the tone for what should be a very good mood until she saw the “guy” in question.

“Hey Barry, what can I get you?” She forced a smile showing her teeth; however, her voice remained cool.

“We need to talk.”

“You want something to drink while we chat?” What the hell was Barry up to? If he didn’t lower his voice, he’d blow her cover. Idiot.

“In private,” he forced through clenched teeth.

“Zach, I’m going on break,” she shouted toward Austin’s direction.

“Got you covered.”

“I’ll be right back, gentlemen.” As soon as she lifted up the piano swing, Barry grabbed her arm and hauled her toward the backroom. Once they were far enough from the patrons, he pressed her tightly up against the wall.

“What the fu—”

“Shhh…act as if you enjoy it. This club thinks I’m your pimp, remember.”

“All the more reason I wouldn’t.” She stomped her Justin Gypsy boots down on his tennis covered foot.

“Geez.” He stumbled backward, shaking his foot like the hokey-pokey dance.

“What do you want, Barry?” Savannah was sick of him and his antics. She wanted him gone, so she could do this job and go back to normal life.

“I need money.” At her suspicious look, he continued, “To continue funding our operation.”

“What funding? I’m in. I can wrap this up by the end of the week.”

“I need the money.” There was no mistaking the desperation in his voice.

Savannah took a hard look at Barry-the bloodshot eyes, the dirty trench coat, and the stink of alcohol shots.

CD Bradley Bio:

I’m just a girl who likes to daydream and sometimes I write them down to share. Growing up, the literary world was my safe haven. A wonderful place of fantasy beyond the bounds of reality. As an adult, I put that behind me to practice medicine. My husband and I owned our own practice, had two children, and lived a somewhat normal life. Fate had other plans. In the span of a year, we sold our practice, bought a 96-acre farm in the hills of West Virginia, and adopted 3 of our patients (ages 1,3, and4). It has been an adventure of ups and downs and learning to laugh at ourselves. Yet, somewhere in the midst of kids, chickens, and toothpaste covered dogs, I began to write again. My late night / early morning escape lets me dream beyond all limits. I hope that you will enjoy the journey of the stories as much as I have writing them.

BT Urruela Bio:

BT Urruela is a combat wounded amputee, purple heart recipient, and contemporary author who has written both independent and traditionally published books. He is a RARE under 40 award recipient, Rockwood Summit High School and Rockwood School District Hall of Fame inductee, Co-founder and Brand Ambassador for VETSports, Ambassador for Tampa Sports Academy, People Magazine Tribute for Heroes winner, Cover Model, Motivational Speaker, and Philanthropist.

At an early age, he began writing short stories having been inspired by reading books authored by RL Stein. His maternal grandmother’s bookshelf was filled with literature that inspired his young mind and cultivated his vivid imagination.

After graduation from high school, his desire to have a military career was cut drastically short by an improvised explosive device, taking the life of his commander, and leaving the remaining four team members badly wounded.

After careful consideration and multiple surgeries, he along with the guidance of his doctors made the decision to amputate. It was the only surgery he ever left with a smile on his face as if a weight had been lifted. He struggled for two more years through 4-5 hours of physical therapy a day, five days a week to get adapted to his new prosthetic. He medically retired from the Army with high hopes. His focus on restoring his physical shape being the most eminent battle caused him to neglect his psychological state.

Meeting people was difficult and there were very few options for veterans to utilize that would stimulate friendship, and ultimately, allow communication barriers to be breached. After moving to Tampa, Florida, he co-founded the veteran community sports nonprofit, VETSports, with two other combat wounded veterans. It was their mission to change the way veterans transitioned back to civilian life through organized team sports, community involvement, and leadership opportunities.

After being invited to attend a photo shoot with acclaimed photographer Michael Stokes, he flew to California in December of 2014, with incredible excitement. His photos were so widely publicized that he soon gained exposure to the literary world like he’d always dreamed of. That opportunity launched him into his present writing career. He co-wrote the novel ‘A Lover’s Lament with author KL Grayson. The following year he released his first solo novel, ‘Into the Nothing’. He is now writing full-time.
